VMC Forum Man of The Match No.5 versus Napoli

He's here, he's there, he's every flipping where. Pablo Zabaleta never throws in the towel. He's the VMC Forum Man of The Match from a cracking game against Napoli...

There may have been the odd error along the way but his willing drive and commitment despite an early booking spoke volumes.

The transformed Edin Dzeko who was unlucky to be replaced by a bobbins Carlos Tevez ran Zaba close in the VMcers thoughts.

YaYa Toure's lung bursting runs, Aleks Kolarov's broken nosed howitzer and an excellent Joleon Lescott performance all came in for recognition.

The New VMC Man of The Season Format:

This season VMC will be running our Man of The Season contest using a Formula One style points system run by PhillyCitizhun Productions replacing the accumulated polls won result used at the end of the previous four seasons to define our Maine Man.

This way we'll get further accuracy over who is regularly putting in a shift for the City cause.

Hm I can't agree with this, he was very good defensively and got stuck in but we needed our full-backs to be dangerous and Zaba offered nothing much going forward, all of his crosses were poor. My MotM was Yaya personally, though Dzeko was very good too.

Joleon put in a good shift but Zab stood out with his drive, passion and true grit. A great performance.

I had Dzeko with Yaya a very close second.....Dzeko continues to impress and Yaya was a rock in the middle...

Zab had a good game and was close to MOTM, but just lost it to Yaya imho, but i think we may have been better equipped if Richards and Clichy were the full backs last night to get some speed in the defence to counter the attacking prowess of the Napoli forwards...and maybe they would not have scored, but that is a case of If's Buts AND Maybe's now....cracking game though.....

I'm a bit shocked by this one too to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Zab, but he was far from our best player last night in my opinion. Yaya got it for me as well.

I went for Zaba. He did a great job on Lavezzi in the first half and was commited in everything he did. I don't think there was really an outstanding performance on the night but equally no one played particularly badly.
