SWP Dignity Something To Admire

QPR's Shaun Wright-Phillips has taken the opportunity as he settles into London life again to share his delight in Manchester City's progress...

Talk about breaking the mould. While the on loan Emmanuel Adebayor throws back all the support afforded to him through troubled times in the club's faces, SWP who could have just as easily stuck the boot in doesn't even give the anti-City brigade hacks a sniff.

The 30 year old winger told The Daily Mail:

'I have always been proud to pull on that blue shirt from the moment I came through. City can go anywhere they want. They have everything they need to go all the way to the top. I am delighted for them... especially the supporters who have been there for years. For them to see this is fantastic...I cheered them on (against Napoli) just like any fan would. This is exactly what they deserve. I'm just glad I was able to help them on the journey.'

There's one player assured of a rousing reception on the last day of the season at The Etihad Stadium.
