City Should Top The League Come 6pm Sunday

Come 6pm, Sunday 18 September 2011 Manchester City will more than likely top the Premier League.

My predictions:

Tottenham 1-3 Liverpool

Steven Gerrard will miss Sunday's game, nevertheless Liverpool seem to be doing just fine without their captain. Spurs on the other hand have Emmanuel Adebayor ready and waiting to find the moment when he can begin moaning and groaning. I'll give him until Christmas before he tells everyone how underrated he feels. Still, I expect the former City flop to score their only goal.

Fulham 0-4 Manchester City

I feel sorry for Martin Jol but they will be no match for Man City and will continue to languish in the drop zone. Manchester City should top the table this weekend. Our VMC Preview will be published in due course.

Sunderland 1-1 Stoke

Not a lot to say about this except predicting a score draw.

Manchester United 1-2 Chelsea

My prediction is that Manchester United will taste their first defeat of the season against Andre Villas-Boas' team. Didier Drogba should be fit again after the concussion he suffered during the match against Norwich. United have been impressive in the Premier League, but Chelsea will be a different kettle of fish altogether.

Appreciate the faith lads! I'm personally feeling very apprehensive about visiting Old Trafford...the only team I'm confident can beat Manyoo there is your lot. But here's hoping.

I hope Chelsea batter our out-of-city neighbours but don't have much confidence in it.

Even though I'm praying the scum lose come sunday, I can't see them losing this game - a draw at best but a win is more likely. Hopefully we'll batter Fulham enough to get back on top through goal difference!

I did, thought "could" might sound a bit less like tempting fate though ;). Especially as I think the scum will beat Chelsea comfortably personally.

Tudor, how long have you supported City? if it's as long as you say then you should know by now that city do not do things the easy way.... remember Halifax, Peterboro, Shrewsbury, those were teams we should have beaten but didnt.... i could go on.... but i do fancy Chelsea at the swamp, Spuds to beat Liverpool, and us to scrape it 1-0, as for Sunderland/Stoke.. who cares.... lol

Yes I do remember the days cityman51 but we're playing in a different era now. I appreciate I may have got carried away slightly with my predictions but apart from the game against Napoli when we scored just the one our Premier League form has been outstanding. We should no, could score a hat full against an out of form Fulham. Our striking force is up there with the best hence I'm sticking with my 0-4 scoreline. Yup, this could come back and bite me on the arse but hey-ho.

No reason whatsoever why City can't thump Fulham today.

We're starting to sound like Arsenal fans before they realised Wenger was spent. We're giving other fans and the tabloids too much rope to hang us with.

HAHA agree with Skyblues, you guys have hardly been tested this season yet, and have not faced a top team, and already you are sounding like arsenal fans last season.. Keep it real.

Not to sound like a****, but can we please avoid the rag/Arsenal-like arrogance of thinking wins are god-given? We can lose or be held at any time, as today showed. Considering where we've come from, we should remain humble and modest IMO.
