'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Return Of The Disco Pants?

Hack speculation has cottoned on to rumours swirling around East Manchester that Sunderland Chairman Niall Quinn could be in line to replace the departed Garry Cook...

Numerous worthy publications have linked the vacant CEO position with that of Quinny who is currently coming to terms with changes within The Black Cats set up.

It is true that City and County Durham's Football Administration Officer Brian Marwood was once a team mate of the former Arsenal, City, Sunderland and Eire forward and of course, the big man's association with The Blues needs no introduction as he bagged 77 goals in 245 City appearances.

Few Citizens would reject an appointment of the astute, Premier League savvy Irishman to the Etihad Stadium controls.

Can't see this happening and for good reason, we have our football men in place, we need someone like Cook with the ability and know-how to turn City into a major club off the pitch. Cook never should have gone IMO, but in this era of political correctness it had to be I suppose. We should be looking at someone like Phil Anderton.

IF he does come, please lets not sing THAT song to a CEO, please! Great song in its day though.
