Sack Carlos Tevez For Breach Of Contract

Midway through the second half against Bayern Munich earlier this evening Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini told Carlos Tevez to warm up and get ready to play. Carlos refused. Is that a breach of contract?

Mancini told Sky Sports HD2 of Tevez...

'I can't accept this one player refusing to go on.'

If I told my boss I wasn't going to perform my duties even though I was fit, health and able then I would probably lose my job. Wouldn't you?

This is the beginning of the end for Tevez - good riddance I say.

For those of you who rarely visit our forums then might I suggest you click here and read what Blues are saying about this muppet. The thread is going mental!!

I'm taking comfort from the fact that he's just shafted his own career. Who wants a player who chickens out when the heat is on, despite his intentions were to screw our team?

With the sad state of the game, some ***** of a club will take a chance on Tevez in the hope of finishing a single place higher up their league. If you truly love football, make Tevez your enemy and make his life hell wherever he plays next. Btw I hate City and all they stand for (cash and no heart), but that's by the by.

Must have all left our hearts on a terrace in macclesfield/Lincoln/York, eh Howard? People seem to forget just exactly how much crap we've put up with in the last couple of decades (Believe today was the 13th anniversary of our lowest ever point - 14th in the old second division) Cheers for the grudging sympathy, but I've heard thousands of other numpties come up with the same tired old accusations time and again, and it just washes over me. We are just lioke the fans of the invisibvle man - we're not really here.

P.S. Sincerely hope the club maker Tevez travel; back to Manchester on his own, and fine him if he's late back. No way should he allowed to board the same plane as the rest of the team.

Don't sack him - someone will still pay money for him in January, if not the 40mil we want. Firstly fine him as much in wages as possible to save money and in the meantime let Kia negotiate a move away for him to whoever he pleases as long as they meet our adjusted asking price.

Tevez clearly wants City to terminate his contract. The windfall Tevez will get when his 10 million quid/ year contract is terminated will only warm his mercenary heart. There is a chance that Madrid or Inter Milan will offer a smaller fee than 30 million pounds for his services and thats the best exit from this scenario.

I think by refusing to play he is violating the terms of his contract? If a player refuses to train this has very much the same effect

I hate Carlos Tevez and I felt so sorry for Mancini last night, he looked close to tears, first with Dzeko spitting his dummy out, then Tevez refusing to warm up. I'd have sent him down the tunnel personally, I wouldn't have wanted to see his ugly phucking scarred face sitting on the bench, p**sing everyone off. He's a child, how anyone would pay a penny for him now would be beyond me. He's constantly talked about retiring early and his usual cry of "I want to be close to my family". He's a joke. I shouldn't care, I don't particularly care about City, but I love football. It's painful to see every single problem with the modern game in human form, for any team.

To be honest this is what you get for the mercenaries you have bought. There is no love your club from the players. They love their paychecks not City. This won't be the last time some player throws a complete fit. Doesn't excuse his behaviour which is appaling but the way City have approached things, are you really surprised?
Astriel
Can't believe the working class of Argentina call him the Peoples' Player He comes across as exactly the opposite to the English working class. What an absolutely horrible person he is. Get him out of this city, back Mancini, fine Dzeko and don't allow any of this petulance ever again. We need to stamp our authority on these lilly livered wimps. Toure and Barry were woeful last night. The sooner De Jong is back firing the better. i now agree with Mancini that we need more midfielders. Namely De Rossi - someone with a bit of heart and football intelligence. Him and de jong in front of the back four with silva sat in front with Nasri and balotelli and aguero up front.

To my knowledge no mercenary player at any of Europe's elite clubs has refused to take the field from the bench. So yes, I think we have plenty of room to be surprised. Or is it just because this is Manchester City daring to challenge the established elite by signing the mercenaries the likes of the rags have been signing for decades?

Astriel, that is a pathetic comment. City deserve this do they? Why exactly? Tell me o wise one what way would you have approached the transfer market in City's position?

City are one of the very few teams who could make such a stand. I would love to see them make him rot, it is exactly what he deserves.

The 'man' shows himself for what he truly is. What do you do with him though? You sell him and kick him out of the club that's giving him what he wants. You fine him a few weeks wages I still can't imagine him caring as he's still got plenty of money to live on anyway. You terminate his contract then you have to pay him millions and he gets what he wants. You fire him and you're effectively throwing away millions and he gets what he wants. Personally I would love to see you guys give him what he deserves and let him rot in the reserves for the rest of his contract but that's effectively throwing away millions in wages and millions in a any possible transfer fee. You're one of very few teams that could afford to do it but with the FFP coming into play soon it's better to make those funds available for someone else. I do like the idea of suing him for the remainder of his contract and the transfer fee you paid and then watching the little toe-rag squirm when he hasn't got a pot to p1ss in. Even as a United fan watching this happen frustrates me.

Spurs faced this with Berbatov at Sunderland refusing to come under when Jol asked. He went to United. People will still want to sign Tevez

All players at other clubs play for free and the love of the badge. I know this because Astriel told me so.

Tevez is no longer a City player to me. End of. Please leave comments about facial scars etc to United sites though, we're better than that.

Berbatov hasn't said for years that he wants to retire at 29 or 30, which is what Tevez has repeatedly said before. The only clubs I could see approaching him are Anzhi, PSG, Real Madrid, anyone with absolutely feckloads of money available to chuck away on someone who could retire at any moment.

i really do feel for you guys, what tevez did last night was completely out of order. it doesnt matter one iota if you are a very rich club like yourselves or a club at the bottom of the blue square league you sign a contract, you trouser the weekly wage packet, your loyaty to your club should be sacrosant, unfortunately the lovely game will always be dragged through the mud by people like tevez weve had our share of them i hope your board give him his P45 and sack him for gross misconduct, then he gets nothing, and perhaps that will send a message to any other superstar who thinks he is bigger than the club i aam enjoying watching your football, it reminds me of how we used to be !!!!! hope the rest of your season goes withoutb any more sagas, except when you play us of course
