Flood Leaves City

Willo Flood is the latest of the young players that threatend to breakthrough to the first team but never quite made it.

Flood has joined Bradley Wright-Phillips and Lee Croft in leaving the club this summer to play for Chammpionship teams.

Flood will join Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee and will go straight into their squad for this weekend's Championship opener with Barnsley.

There are likely to be few complaints from supporters about Flood leaving the club. Although a promising player he always looked a little lightweight for the rigours of the Premiership. Like Croft and Wright-Phillips, he has probably found his level. Another good bit of business.

We wish him well and no doubt he is another of our youngsters that could well flourish at a lower level.
