VMC Forum Man Of The Match No.11 Vs Aston Villa

Just about everywhere but Match of The Day the praise is rolling in for Mario Balotelli who continues to channel smouldering aggression into some sizzling football...

If every United's supporters favourite scouser had scored that superb opening overhead kick against Villa we'd be hearing about it all week. But 21 year old Mario continues his focused run taking his goal tally to 14 for City in 33 appearances that incorporated 23 starts.

SuperMario is The VMC Forum posse's Man of The Match.

...Meanwhile, just watch James Milner go. Threatening the form of his life, Milner is relishing the competition for places as The Blues games come thick and fast.

Already, we can see from the season so far's VMC points analysis how Jimmy is more than holding his own in a strong squad effort.

Of note, The Citizens three man strike force all feature in our leader board's top five perfomers with the side now rattling up 27 goals in the league with goals coming in from across the team. For the record, City scored 60 league goals last season. Who'd have thunk it??!!

The New VMC Man of The Season Format:

This season VMC will be running our Man of The Season contest using a Formula One style points system run by PhillyCitizhun Productions replacing the accumulated polls won result used at the end of the previous four seasons to define our Maine Man. This way we'll get further accuracy over who is regularly putting in a shift for the City cause.
