Manchester Derby From A United Fans Perspective

Today we at Vital Manchester City begin the Manchester derby build-up with a cosy chat with a Manchester United supporter.

We asked Rasmus, who's based in Salford six questions.

1)How long have you supported United and why?

Supported United since I knew what football was. Hmm why. That is a tough one. Always been fascinated by our history (Busby Babes etc) and as a wee lad I was just fascinated by the whole aura about United. Loved to see the likes of Becks, Giggsy, Scholes, the Nevilles, Schmeichel and I could go on. I was also in ore by the whole history of Old Trafford.

2)In recent times what was your favourite derby match?

Probably the 3-1 in the Carling Cup, because of the cockiness from City before the game (Mr Cook). So it was brilliant to show the blue half of Manchester that United are in charge.

3)Who is your favourite United player, ever?

There are so many great legends that it would be almost impossible to choose one. You don't really have that problem (lol). But I have to say Ryan Giggs. Fantastic player, loyal, (at least with United) even at 37 he looks fresh as ever! Club record with played games as-well.

4)When Sir Alex retires who would you like to see take over?

He will keep going forever! I can't think about it. Don't see anyone out there at the moment to be honest. I am sure Sir Alex has a plan about it already though.

5)City has come on leaps and bounds since the ADUG takeover. What do you think the MCFC future holds?

Obviously you are going to be a threat with the money you are splashing. It really much depends if the Arabs are in for the long term or not. As long as you keep spending like now you will be a threat.

6)Who do you think will win this seasons Premier League title, and if it`s not City where do you think they'll finish?

1 United
2 City

Bonus question

Who will win on Sunday and by what score?

2-1 United

VMC would like to thank Rasmus for his assistance.

A manure fan's perspective eh? Always wondered what the view from inside one's own arse would look! P.S. Noit having a dig at Rasmus, he seems a reasonable chap - but all's fair in love and war right? ;)

only problem there Mel is that never really happened. Don't you know that we've got no history.;-)

This sounds like you interviewed my brother...guess they all sound alike huh? History this, history that. Anybody else wondering what ever happened to the "City will never gel" argument? All this lack of history and everyone else has plenty of it seemed to pop up as soon as we put that to rest. Now if they would actually read up I wonder what their next argument would be......

He just sounds so sickeningly arrogant but essentially he's a glory hunter.
