12 competitive games in and The VMC Forum's latest Man of The Match Poll registered Hotshot Aleks Kolarov as the star, reflecting a solid squad effort in our leader board...

The uncompromising Kolarov is steadily finding his City feet and we are witnessing a greatly improved player on last season's campaigns. Like Gareth Barry and James Milner, the Serbian left back/ left midfielder appears to be benefitting from the increased competition for places in Roberto Mancini's effective.

Each and every one of the key players already noted by the VMCers as doing a great job for The Blues over these opening three months of the season will have to be on their game from the off at The Swamp on Sunday.

A slow start is not an option and it could well be that Mancio opts to bring in Micah Richards and Gael Clichy's pace for those crucial full back positions.


The VMC Man of The Season Format 2011-2012:

This season VMC will be running our Man of The Season contest using a Formula One style points system run by PhillyCitizhun Productions replacing the accumulated polls won result used at the end of the previous four seasons to define our Maine Man. This way we'll get further accuracy over who is regularly putting in a shift for the City cause.
