Balotelli: Sacré Phénomène Makes City Sing!

Mario Balotelli's stock continues to rise across Europe. France Football Magazine, la Bible du Foot, this week sang the praises of City's enigmatic striker...

Pourquoi toujours moi?

Described this week by FF as a 'sacré phénomène' (blessed phenomenon) and 'à la fois fou et génial' (madman and brilliant at the same time), the plaudits continue to roll in from around Europe for the 21 year old who has now scored 17 goals in 38 City appearances across 15 months.

Last month England Manager Fabio Capello rated Balotelli as 'a player of huge class', and it's self evident that Mario is working hard at becoming a team man in the way Capello publically implored him to. This was exemplified by the way he unselfishly set up YaYa Touré for City's third goal at Villareal last night after rampaging forward. The young Italian was also subjected to racial abuse from the Spanish stands last night but retained his focus.

So enamoured are FF with what they declare to be the 'culte' of SuperMario, they've gone to the lengths of bi-lingually publishing the by now legendary 'Oh Balotelli' song in it's entirety. However, VMC aren't that sure that the French version will catch on in East Manchester or London bound trophy tracking trains!

'Ohhh Balotelli, il est attaquant, il est bon aux flechettes/ Il est allergique a l'herbe, mais quand il joue, il a un p... de classe/ Il roule dans Moss Side avec un portefeuille plein d'oseille..!'
