'If It's Football, It's Vital'

VMC Forum Man Of The Season Latest

The international break has come at an ideal time for Planet Blue to to take stock of City's stunning start to the season...

If anything, we've gone beyond the word 'start' with close to a third of the Premier League fixtures completed and The Blues top of the league on merit.

As the praise continues to roll in for Roberto Mancini and his Band of Blue Brothers, the VMC Forum posse continue to monitor the squad's progress and how sweet it is to see erstwhile City flops David Silva, James Milner, Edin Džeko and Mario Balotelli (copyright ALL Wapping football hacks) leading the way in a big team effort that has left pundits purring and Mancio still demanding that bit more.

Silva's brilliance needs no introduction. Yet James Milner must qualify as City's most improved player as he relishes and benefits from a fierce yet friendly competition for places.

Džeko's willingness to run and run for the cause alongside Balotelli's resurgence has won great praise from the VMCers for whom the next game just can't come around quick enough.

Let's see what Newcastle have really got in one week's time!

The VMC Man of The Season Format 2011-2012:

This season VMC will be running our Man of The Season contest using a Formula One style points system run by PhillyCitizhun Productions replacing the accumulated polls won result used at the end of the previous four seasons to define our Maine Man. This way we'll get further accuracy over who is regularly putting in a shift for the City cause.
