City Assess Kolarov Groin Knack

Aleksander Kolarov's early substitution in the League Cup Quarter Final win over Arsenal due to a groin strain could be his last City appearance this year...

The Serbian hotshot has been mainly injury free since the knock he sustained in his debut at Spurs last season and had found his feet in the English top flight.

'City Benchwatch' hacks and commentators were purring at the sight of Kolarov's visible frustration at coming off against Arsenal and openly declared this clearly meant all was not well in the Blues camp.

rivel of course.

City have reached December shipping relatively few injuries but with the African Cup of Nations imminent through which at least one important player will be asbent during an intensive January fixture list, any defensive injury constitutes a major blow.

Roberto Mancini will confirm Kolarov's status later today.
