Kompany: Come Out Fighting

Straight talking Manchester City Captain and honorary Mancunian Vincent Kompany has again led from the front in declaring his team are well up for the visit of Bayern...

'The mood is good. We had a good result at Anfield and a great one at the Emirates so we couldn't be in a better mindset for the game. Receiving Bayern Munich at the Etihad is something that hasn't happened for a long time so we should show respect to the moment and make a special night of it...with the players we have, we are capable of anything.'

Always vocal, particularly in the tunnel, the undisputed leader of the pack Kompany has words of warning for Germany's top side:

'Any team coming here is not going to be favourites. I don't care who they are.'

EARLY TEAM NEWS:

Bayern's Arjen Robben has flu and City's Aleks Kolarov is out until further notice with a groin strain.
