Poll Result: Clattenburg Receives Five Star Rating

Our last Vital Manchester City front page poll question asked...

Mark Clattenburg's performance, out of five officiating Chelsea v City

Here is the result, in descending order:

Five54%
Zero21%
One12%
Two7%
Three5%
Four1%

The result has to be one of the most amazing we've ever had on VMC. Surely Chelsea fans must have infiltrated the site in mass otherwise why would we have ended up with Clattenburg receiving a five star rating. Either that or I watched a different game. Honestly it beggar's belief!

Well the obsession with City by Chelsea fans is the answer.
sirchinny
It's kind of funny though - in more ways than one.
fifthcolumnblue
Bleedn' hillarious!!
tudor
What will be even funnier is listening to the Chelsea fans moan the next time they get shafted by the ref. (like they did against QPR) What goes around comes around.
fifthcolumnblue
We'll be sure to remember this next time Chelsea are denied a stonewall penalty and Villas-Boas flips his lid again.
StuMCFC
just like we'll remember the petulant strak Yaya Toure displayed - stop bleedin moaning!
merlin
Come on city fans! There's no need to moan! You're still top and you're probably gonna win the league anyway. What does one defeat even matter if you finish top? Also if Chelsea don't win the league then I would like to see you lot win it. So be nice!
blu4life
Just because you're challenging us for titles doesn't mean you sink to the levels of those clueless manure fans. Get a grip!
blu4life
I have never had such a reaction to my match write up as i did after chelsea.....i now dislike their fans.....not something i usually do.
bluerichy
Sore loosers
Mr.Bear
I think the ref did get decisions wrong but in the end i think it evened itself out ( city could have been down to 8 men(yaya and kompany) and chelsea conceding a penalty)
adu__
Ref was poor Chelski should have been down to 10 men and a pen against them. Understand Clattenberg picked up several roubles after the game as thanks
Tiny T
are you guys seriously still going on about the peno decision come on it was one defeat away from home...be gracious in defeat city will still win the league and chelsea fans will be the first to congratulate you.....let us all just unite in our hatred for the red side of manchester
heart_of_blue
Mark Clattenburg , I would put him in the same category as Chris Foy, enough said. COYS :-)
Madaboutspurs
TBH madabout, I'm not sure Clattenburg was as bad against us as Foy was for you vs Stoke, but I share your sentiment. Not blaming the ref for the result, we didn't play well enough second half, and with 10 men we never looked like getting back into it - but you can't help wonder what would have happened if we'd gone 2-0 up. These things DO change games, Chelsea have recent enough experience of Foy's incompetence that I'm quite surprised at how vehemently they're calling us "sore loosers (sic). never mind, what would we talk about otherwise eh? Oh yeah, the magnificence of Arsenal of course - silly me! X)
fifthcolumnblue
Adu_ spot on mate, Clattenburg had a poor game but it wasn't down to bias or anything of the sort, it was just incompetence.
Bluedub
The standard of reffing this season has been shocking.
