Pablo Zabaleta's drive and will to win epitomised City's spirit in what many learned pundit's are calling the game of the season so far at the Etihad last night...
The 26 year old Argentina international jack of all trades with 135 City appearances to his name came very close to a rare goal against Arsenal, too. Thundering in a post breaker that would have sealed a remarkable performance whereby the rightback, come midfielder, come leftback intercepted and broke up Arsenal play repeatedly whilst getting forward whenever possible.
A classic Zabaleta performance then!
It's something to consider that Zaba arrived in Manchester on the same day as Robinho in August 2008 in a £6.5 million transfer from Espanyol. Zaba has been worth his weight in gold.
The consumate professional, his fluency in English and team ethic put the astronomically paid and on strike Carlos Tévez to shame.
Mancio On Zaba:
"Pablo is a very clever player. He knew before the game it would be difficult. I told him if he played very well against Theo Walcott we would probably win the game."
Zaba On City:
"I have played many games at left-back. It was no problem. I just want to do my best for the team."
