VMC Forum Man of The Season Latest

As Christmas Champions Manchester City prepare to spend New Years Eve in Sunderland, time to bring Planet Blue up to date with the learned City punditry in the VMC Forum...

City have now chalked up 27 competitive fixtures this season and are about to enter a season defining January. There is of course no reason why a full strength City squad cannot secure the important results required to maintain interest in 3 of the club's 4 continuing campaigns. Despite the anti-City brigade in The Street of Shame crowing over The Blues disappointing draw at West Brom, the majority of Roberto Mancini's men remain in fine form as the VMC community's monitoring of their progress shows.

At the turn of the year David Silva remains our Maine Man, but he isn't having it all his own way in this campaign with Jimmy Milner and Super Mario in hot pursuit.

Edin Džeko, with a good run in the side imminent and the ever buzzing Sergio Agüero are now separated by the resurgent Gareth Barry, who outside of Milner is easily City's most improved player this season.

The VMC Man of The Season Format 2011-2012:

This season VMC is running our Man of The Season contest using a Formula One style points system run by PhillyCitizhun Productions replacing the accumulated polls won result used at the end of the previous four seasons to define our Maine Man. This way we are getting greater accuracy over who is regularly putting in a shift for the City cause.

Well JB, based on points per game played i would guess that Milner or Dzeko would be out in front.
