Pompey offer accepted

City are reporting through the official website, www.mcfc.co.uk , that they have accepted an offer from Portsmouth for David James.

The blues were believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of £2 million for the former England number one.

James is now on his way down to the South coast to discuss terms with Honest Harry.

So Calamity James finds yet another watering hole!
sandgroanun
Well who'd have thought it, Stu fickle Pearce was telling the world that Calamity was Englands No 1 during the world cup and the 1st offer that comes in and he gets rid!!!!! I am not saying getting rid is the wrong thing to do as the guy is one of the worst in the EPL but you have to laugh at Pearce, pleb!

Jame has been an excellent keeper for city, and if he was 5 years younger I would be disgusted at selling him. The fact is hes in his last year of his contract, hes 35, hes not gonna get any better. I say get rid and get this Swedish lad in, hes got great press before the world cup injury
bluerick
No doubt he'll keep a clean sheet in match 2.

Who will be your no1?

Isaksson will be our No.1 another bargain at £2m for a proven 24 year old International.
