Mancini Versus Mourinho - No Contest

The fantastic spirit swirling around Carrington and The Etihad took another shot in the arm today. Over to you, Mario...

Balotelli, who had his shirt nose-wiped by foppish billionaire Sir David Beckham at the weekend has been singing the praises of City manager Roberto Mancini back home in Italy via the pages of L'Uomo Vogue magazine.

He compared Mancio to Real Madrid supremo Jose Mourinho who once described City's brilliant 21 year old striker at Inter Milan as 'unmanageable.'

Mourinho's lack of faith in younger players is well known:

'Mourinho is among the best, but my relationship with Mancini, it's perfect. On a personal level I would say Mancini and then Mourinho. A coach has to bring 100 per cent out of a player and Mancini is brilliant at doing just that.'

Mario is nearing full fitness for the arrival of Liverpool in East Manchester tomorrow night for the first leg of the Leagu Cup Semi-Final.
