Carroll Kops For Ultimate Anfield Thumbs Down

Carroll Kops For Ultimate Anfield Thumbs Down

Andy Carroll, you may as well pack your bags and go home. Manchester City have turned down cup heady Liverpool's straight swap Caroll offer for on strike Carlos Tévez...

...as ultimate votes of no confidence in top level football go, this has to be one of the more severe. Tévez, carrying more baggage than an A380 with a litany of disruption left behind him at every club he's signed for, advised by stance-shifting double-talking weirdos has all of a sudden became an Anfield target. And Carroll, taking the field each week with increasing desperation weighed down by a ludicrous £35 million price tag was supposed to be the bait.

Right now, hand on heart, this Blue would take it, despite City Football Administration Officer Brian Marwood's immediate rebuttal.

Carroll may well have only 6 goals to his name in a Liverpool shirt but City have sustained pole position this season with only three young strikers, so a fourth wouldn't go amiss as suspensions and injuries kick in for a crucial final run in.

Liverpool aren't short of a few boo-ers these days and from what we've seen and heard, Carroll, who's come in for plenty of stick might like a shandy or two, but he seems a damn sight more honest than shreiking turf plummeter Luis Suarez or the sheer deviousness that is Carlos Tévez and his executive circus.

27 year old Tévez, despite his open dislike of England and despite goading City fans with his golf photos whilst on strike, needs football games. If he can't get out of Manchester this month or somehow grovels his way back into a City shirt is facing footballing purgatory with potentially close to a year spent on a hypothetical bench.

Meanwhile, Roberto Mancini, a star stiker in his won right and adept at getting the best out of his forwards might yet be having a word with Marwood in the coming 24 hours over a player he publically rated following a game against Newcastle. Mancio regularly fields his six England internationals and might yet ask Marwood to reconsider and bring in a seventh.

YOU are the dapper City gaffer. Would you accept Carroll for Tévez?

No. What would say is a fair value for Carrol on the transfer market? What would you say is a fair price for T***z? Computer says nooo!

Have to hand it to the dippers, great sense of humour. Carrol curent value 10, was 35. Carlos value was 45 now 25.

I'd take it, but only if they were offering us £25m + Carroll! Sorry guys, but Carroll is a flash in the pan (of Darren Bentesque proportions), and he reminds me of a runaway oil tanker at times the way he lumbers about the pitch. There are much better players available out there for that kind of money, we should let Liverpool wallow in their £35m mistake. Bit of a masterstroke from Kenny, though, I'm sure the news that Liverpool want rid of him less than a year into his sojourn at Anfiled will do wonders for his confidence. LMAO!

Regardless of value or worth, here is an opportunity to get the Tevez poison out of the club. We have no plans to bring in a fourth striker so why not bring one in with PL experience for the big run-in?

I think everyone is forgetting one small, but very important thing. Regardless of whether you think swapping the weasel and Carroll would be a good idea, I can't see Tevez, with all his moaning about "wanting to be nearer his family" moving 35 miles down the road, to somewhere that has no direct flights to Argentina, fewer restaurants than Manchester and pretty much identical weather! It's just not going to happen.

Also we only have to look as far as Feyenoord where John Guidetti has bagged 14 goals with season, whilst on loan. Is there no recall clause in his loan deal?

According to some reports Ped we had the opportunity to recall him this month but passed up on it. As I said that is according to reports so a pinch of salt needed but if it is true I'm amazed we didn't bring him back. He would be ideal right now.
