'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mancio Cool For Cats Over Tevez Ahead Of Everton

With a resigned sigh and relaxed grin, Roberto Mancini fended off the latest Carlos Tevez questions from expectant hacks at today's pre Everton press conference...

Playing the straightest of bats, Mancio stated:

'I don't want to talk about this situation. We have an important game tomorrow.'

The hacks were unable to get much more out of The Blues boss so instead pursued Mario Balotelli's ongoing suspension. The press pack were left crestfallen post the win over Spurs after Mancio shrewdly installed coach David Platt to fend off their inquiries. The City gaffer diplomatically advised:

'It's in the past, finished. I feel we have been very, very unlucky these past fourteen days.'

Mancio went on to agree that at this stage the Premier League title is a two horse race between The Citizens and the rags and insisted his team stay focused and work hard over the next two months starting with the difficult trip to uncompromising Everton led by Vincent Kompany:

'It is important that we have Vincent available. He is our leader and a very strong defender, one of the best in Europe.
And because he is so young, he can improve.'

The Blues have no injury concerns ahead of the Goodison Park clash.
