Turkish Officials Take Charge In Porto

Cüneyt Cakir will referee Thursday nights Europa League game between FC Porto and Manchester City.

In June 2011 the 35-year-old native from Istanbul was promoted by UEFA to ELITE category, the highest level for European referees. This allows him to officiate Champions League matches as well as taking charge of games in the Europa League knockout stages.

Fellow countrymen Bahattin Duran and Mustafa Eyisov are the assistant referees while the fourth official will be Süleyman Abay.
