'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ancelotti Continues To Express Belief In Balotelli

Paris Saint Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has praised City's Mario Balotelli again. This time via the pages of Italy's version of the laddish pop culture magazine, Max...

The shrewd Italian said:

'..The sky is the limit for Balotelli. He can do everything on the pitch...I would train him and Antonio Cassano voluntarily.'

It's not the first time that Ancelotti has gone public over his belief in The Citizens' enigmatic young striker.

Shortly before Mario signed for City in Summer 2010, Ancelotti, the then Chelsea boss told Corriere dello Sport:

'I think a player with Mario's type of character would be better suited here than with respect to Italy. It is difficult to find a young player with this quality. Even England struggles to find a player at this level...You'll see, he will conquer England. He's suitable for English football because he's both physically and technically very strong. He's got a good relationship with Mancini, but he'll have to be careful of the paparazzi.'

SuperMario has since scored 23 goals for City across 34 starts and 17 substitute appearances...as well as being well and truly paparrazzied!

I'm still not convinced with this fella. He doesn't look complete to me and I'm surprised with all the praise he gets. I know he's young and he has more money than he knows what to do with, which would affect anybody but I would have Aguerro and an interested Tevez every time. I do think he can be great if he sticks with Mancini. A brilliant manager.

There is of course still a question over his temperament Barney but his ability is not something I would question. When his head is on he is outstanding.
