Mancio Looks To Strikers For Title Charge

Mancio Looks To Strikers For Title Charge

Cool for cats Roberto Mancini is looking to his young strike force and er, maybe Carlos Tévez to lead the way in bringing the Premier League trophy to Manchester...

As we detailed on VMC earlier this week, Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko's combined 39 goals from 67 have sustained City's four month reign at the top of the league. And the dapper City gaffer wants more:

'It is important that in this moment all our strikers score goals and are in good form. This is very important because it is two months to the end and it's important to have all the strikers ready.'

A couple of City's front men have been in the news this week. Mancio went on:

'We know that Carlos is a top striker but in this moment he needs to train...I think he needs a minimum of another two weeks. For him it is pre-season...

'...Mario is the best Italian striker, this is sure, 100 percent.'

Our gaffer knows his stuff.

BOLTON TEAM NEWS:

Yaya Touré and Kolo Touré are both fully fit bolstering a squad in fine fettle and running into some serious form.

21 goals in all comps for Aguero already, just think how good he is going to be when he properly settles in.
