VMC's Some Might Say: The Title Resurrection

Dapper City gaffer Roberto Mancini remains cool for cats with 3 league games to go and his side breathing down Stretford necks. Post Match Reaction to the win at Wolves...

Roberto Mancini:

'I still think United have a bigger chance than us at the moment, even if we get three points in the derby we have Newcastle and QPR, which will be difficult games. United after us have two games that will not be easy, but not difficult like it will be for us...

'It was so-so today. I don't think we gave as good a performance as at Norwich, but today it was important that we won. We were okay, but our performance was not perfect.

'Maybe it was because we knew that we needed to win..I said it would be difficult because of Wolves' position at the bottom of the table...but it was just important that we won.

'I'm very sorry for Wolves because they played well, and they have always given me a problem every time I have been here. They were strong today, and they had a good mentality.

'I am pleased with this form but now we have three very difficult games, it could not be more difficult. We are there - I think United have a bigger chance, more than us in this moment. But we have another chance.'

Terry Connor:

'It is tough - a raw day. We knew coming in we had to try and win it - it is raw for the players, staff, supporters and everyone connected to Wolves. It probably will be for a few days.

'The fans were superb today and for the majority of the season they've been great.

..I understand they'll be hurting over the weeks to come.'

Joleon Lescott:

'We knew Wolves would give it 100%. I'm a City player now and it was more important to get three points.

'It was nice Everton took some points... but we have to concentrate on our games.'

Yaya Touré:

'It's an unbelievable day for us. It was difficult for us, but fantastic players like Aguero and Samir did a great job.

'..We were a bit nervous. We have a lot of young players who aren't that experienced but with the players we have, anywhere any time, we can win.

'The Boss told us the United result..We had to settle down. United are strong away and it will be difficult next week but we will be ready for one of the biggest games of the season...the club has to win this cup.

'Today we played to do the job and the most important thing was the victory. With the team we have, it would be fantastic to win something again this year.'

Joe Hart:

'We are really focused on finishing a very good season and we have given ourselves a really good chance here. Our commiserations to Wolves going down today but we've done our job.

'The odds are a lot better then they were at the start of the day. We are excited, we feel ready, we are firing goals in.'
