Richards: Training Has Never Been Better

In an exclusive interview with th'official site, City and England's Micah Richards has underlined the strength of the City squad's spirit ahead of the Newcastle clash...

The athletic 23 year old MCFC Academy graduate recently lost his place in Roberto Mancini's side through injury and the subsequent heroic performances of Pablo Zabaleta but the message from Micah is loud and clear:

'Training has never been better, the lads are in great spirit and it doesn't matter who starts because whoever plays, they will give their all to try and get us over the finishing line...We are in good shape, we all want to play, but I can't see how the manager could change a team that has played so well and I don't know why he would want to, either.'

Of the challenge Alan Pardew's resurgent Newcastle present, the big defender said:

'Newcastle like to play attacking football...and we always seem to play better against teams like that because it suits our style...we will have eleven fantastic players that Newcastle will be worrying about and we know if we are at our best, we can beat anyone.'

Are you taking the Micah, Richards? The great British press have already informed us that the players just go around fighting with each other and that Mancini is a slave driver. We all know that the integrity of these tabloid hacks is beyond reproach, right? Right? Anyone?

There can be no team spirit amongst such a bunch of over-paid mercenaries who have no love for our club. Micah is clearly lying, because as Bluedub has pointed out, the tabloids never tell porkies.

Revenues Soar But A Premier League Loss - 22/4/17

Premier League clubs posted record revenues in the season of 2015/16, but across the 20 top flight teams they still posted a loss of more than £100million.

Good Luck City

The FA Cup is the only competition MCFC can realistically win this season. But can they overcome Le Arse?

Gabriel Jesus WILL travel with the squad having made a full recovery quicker than most expected from his foot injury while John Stones will definitely miss out after failing to recover from a muscle injury in his leg.
