Platini Pops Up Again With Doom-Laden City Outlook

Wishful thinking? There's a whiff of desperation about pontificating UEFA President Michel Platini's latest anti-City agenda comments...

We'd almost forgotten about him amid the most exciting conclusion ever to a Premier League season but it's only taken five days since City were crowned English Champions for the dreary European elite club protector to wade in with a new angle.

No doubt crestfallen at City's continued stunning success, this time Twatini is suggesting that His Highness Sheikh Mansour and Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak might do one:

'We have to protect the clubs, because while they pay Manchester City will be happy but if the owners leave Manchester City what is going to happen with this club?'

Should City fans begin to nervously eye SportCity's exit doors or are The Champions in safe hands?

'We Deserved It Absolutely'

I wonder what Platini would do if our owners signed some contract promising to stay with the club until 2050 at least. We all know they are going knowing, Platini probably knows, but Platini wants to protect the established elite and we are not one of them.

Unfortunately for Platini he closed the stable door too late. Funny that he didn't mention PSG isn't it?

What does he think about the Glazers taking over 70million out of Manure in the last six months to service debts and line their own pocket. Platini ought to stand for Greek president with a banner of being anti investment and pro debt ...........he is a total disgrace in sucking up to four clubs in Europe.

He's beginning to make Sepp Blatter look like a saint. What a ****wit

The more I think about this, was he suggesting on Fox news that City's owners might not be men of honour or unreliable? He hasn't said similar about any other football club owners to my knowledge.

There's a huge difference between protecting clubs and protectionism. He's shut the door on nearly every club in Europe getting into the established CL regular circuit, yet all these clubs fans do is grin every time City and 'Financial Fair Play(!)' are mentioned in the same sentence. It's puzzling.
