'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Consistency Key As Mancini Signs On For Champions

It was Sir Alex Ferguson himself who recently confessed his begrudging wish for Roberto Mancini to leave Manchester. Today the dapper City gaffer extended his stay...

The boss has signed a five year contract extension as the ghost of typical City continues to be exorcised.

This is wonderful news for everyone connected with the club. Mancini, having reinforced his position as an absolute boss over dissenting superstars has fused a superb squad who have busted a gut to secure England's two most coveted trophies and Champions League football under his shrewd guidance.

Mancio said:

'I am delighted to be able to give all of my efforts to Manchester City for a further five years. The opportunity which exists to build on our recent success is enormous. Manchester City is a fantastic football club, from the owner, chairman, Board and the executive team, through to the players, staff and fans.'

What a booster to Mancio's cunningly planned pre-season tour. A bouyant squad, further energised by some fine performances in Euro 2012 is slowly re-assembling, with another top-drawer friendly confirmed this evening against Wolfsburg on the 4th August.

(Bow) - this man is a genius - love him!

Glad to see he's sticking around for the foreseeable future. He went on record a few years ago saying he would only take the Italy job, so I was never worried about the Russia link.

(OK, Oxlade Chamberlain, Van Persie and Wilshere then). ;P

5 more years eh? That should be long enough to both see off Old Red Nose and buy any talented players remaining at our feeder club.

I think he'd only have signed such a long contract with the promise of full control and full backing in the transfer market. This is great news for the club.

Best signing of the summer!

Forza Mancini

Finally City will get some stability, which has been missing since the Mercer Allison years and Bob can get into the hall of fame. Depending on the silverware he may get his team to bring in, we may yet find a Mancini end or stand in years to come.
