City to sign Thomert?

City to sign Thomert?

The News of the World is today reporting that City are on the verge of signing Lens striker, Olivier Thomert.

Thomert is reported to have said that he is close to signing for the blues.

'I've agreed terms and I am waiting on the clubs to finalise the deal,' Thomert told the News of the World. 'I just can't wait to play in The Premiership.'

Now I accept that at times we appear lightweight up front but shouldn't the priority really be a left sided midfielder as the transfer window draws to a close?
