Weiss Off To Italy As City Exit Door Creaks Open

Vladimir Weiss' permanent transfer away from City was a little unexpected considering his series of loan spells. He could be one of a few players up the road this fortnight...

The speedy Slovakian burst on to the City scene 4 years ago and looked the part but rapidly fell out of favour amidst club managerial and ownership changes. Loans took him to the English, Scottish and Spanish leagues before the club announced his signing for Serie A new boys Pescara today for an undisclosed fee.

In the meantime, it's hoped that City can realise the offload of two or three more players including Crocky Santa Hughes and Emmanuel Adebayor before The Citizens title defence begins.
