'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wayne Rugney Delivers Another City Team Talk

The Stretfords just can't stop talking City. Every rag's favourite scouser, England perma-flop Wayne Rugney has suggested that City will cave-in under pressure this season...

This is the kind of desperate hope fuelled drivel eminating repeatedly from Team Glazer that characterised a failed media campaign following the six one Manchester derby drubbing that symbolised a power shift in English football. We've heard this pisspoor propaganda all before. The 'strong second half of the season we know how to bounce back and have more experience' mantra was ruthlessly exposed already this year as nonsense yet served up willingly by hacks terrified of Lord Taggart and who he'll be after banning next from his pre-match love-in's. Of course, had Roberto Mancini's side thrown away an 8 point title lead through a spectacular collapse he would have been crucified. I digress.

Back to the player who turned up for England this summer appallingly off the pace before heading off to Las Vegas again. Like 50 year old Paul Scholes and the other usual old guard suspects he refuses to learn from the motivation his words lend to liddle ciddy's er, 'mercenaries:'

'It'll be a different situation for them, something they have never experienced before. But we know all about when you're trying to defend your trophy. We know that over the years everyone has tried to raise their game when they play Manchester United.

'City being champions, they'll have to face that now obviously. Sometimes it can be more difficult.'

Not necessarily. Ever since His Highness Sheikh Mansour came to town City have found that every single side we've faced have given it both barrels and especially away from home, many rival supporters have treated a game against The Blues as a cup final. A bit like Rugney's New York Floaters do these days come to think of it...

Oh the hypocrisy we do nothing but talk about you? Don't know if you've looked at your vital home page but there seems to be a few articles on United Fergie's transfer dilemmas, the stock market float. Have you blues got nothing better to do.
MotorMad
Motormad, I think you'll find that he is referring to the Rag players who don't shut up about City, nothing to do with the fans, so I'm afraid you're wrong in your hypocrisy claim. Have we nothing better to do? Yep plenty, we can look at re runs on YouTube of Aguero's goal to seal the title, we can watch the celebrations again, we can look at the replays of the moment Bacon and his players found out they'd lost it, we can remind ourselves that we were 8 points behind with six to go yet still won it while U*d suffered the biggest implosion the PL has ever seen. Plenty to do mate. Thanks :-)

The lesser of the two Roberto's has also weighed in with his views on City's attempt to retain the title: “Everybody will be chasing them. When you’re at the top, it’s harder to stay at the top than get to the top." He's right, so is Rugney. It's going to be tough and we're going to be the major scalp for every team, including ManUre, which is sooooo satisfying. On the subject of the NYSE float, that didn't go to plan, did it? Oops! Ferguscum will be sending around the collection basket at half time on matchdays :)

"Everyone has raised their game when playing United" Do you also believe in Dr Seuss, Tooyh Fairy and hookers who don't blab to the press?
