It's an odd one, he's been garbage or injured since he last played for England almost a year ago. But at the same time we're not going to accept a small fee for a 21 year old with England caps, in the current squad and over 100 top level appearances already. Would be a gamble for the fee we'd demand.

Certainly didn't see that one coming!

Didn't see that coming either, especially considering the season he had. And you would have to think, with the banks off our backs this summer, meaning the decision was purely down to Moyes, that the price would be hefty (as City fans are aware already). I rate Rodwell personally, think he can be a very good player, but the major concern is injuries, especially the soft tissue injuries he has had the past season. From an Everton POV, it makes sense, we are well stocked in that position, and we didn't miss him in the 2nd half of the season, and we are desperate for a proper right winger (Adam Johnson maybe? Moyes is a fan) and cover for other positions, so if a good fee came in, I would expect us to take it. From a City POV, as Mike said, given his injury record, it is a gamble, but if he can stay fit, as I said, he can be a very good player, hard to believe the lad is still only 21 given the amount of games he has already played. Should be interesting to see how this plays out

a Mancini or Marwood Buy?

A Manchester City buy Buzz. Mancini has just spoke very highly of Rodwell on ITV.

15 mill is the fee knocking about.

Strange one I must say, been surprised how you have gone about your business this summer...Sinclair and Rodwell heavily linked, would never have put them in the bracket of players City would want especially with you going for Champs league this year. Hope you are enjoying Villa Park, out pitch is probably better than Wembleys anyway lol...One of you or them Chelsea ********s are in MY seat though!
