Lescott's original ommission from Roy Hodgson's squad was something of a surprise, the player having become an England ever present. However, Roberto Mancini will certainly be hoping that no other international City players suffer the type of injury shipped by Micah Richards for Team GB in the Olympics.

Not overwhelmed by Roy's selections or his abilities to take this England squad to the heights England fans expect. As a City fan I am always pleased when players from the Club get selected but, not when it's a non game.
