Good news resonates across Planet Blue tonight with the revelation that Emmanuel Adebayor has finally left Manchester City, the club he once proclaimed love for...
...and it's not as if City didn't try to keep that flame burning. The big Togolese striker received tremendous support from Planet Blue when banned after he went mental in front of Arsenal fans who had been goading him following his 'revenge' goal. He then benefitted from absolute time and understanding from everyone associated with the club following his terrifying experience at the hands of terrorists whilst on international duty.
Much of that fell by the wayside when the talented forward who turns 29 years old this winter declared at the end of his loan spell with Real Madrid that City gaffer Roberto Mancini treated him 'like a child.'
Mancini, as he showed when he double subbed the dreadfully lightweight Robinho and his conduct throughout Tevezgate will not indulge prima-donnas. The boss's way or the highway. An aspect of Mancio that Sir Alex Ferguson more than begrudgingly admires.
Adebayor professed love again at Madrid and subsequently at Spurs where he will now take his considerable shooting boots following an unseemly dispute over money with The Blues who have taken all summer to get him off the books. City bank £5 million and the player and his agent a whopping pay off. He'll be forever remembered as one of the Mark Hughes-Garry Cook signings that helped propel the club to the top but just didn't work out and the lessons learned from his three year tenure on the payroll have served to strengthen the club's resolve in dealings with players and their agents.

How fickle, the day he scored against the Scum and ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front their fans you all would of had his babies....
And about the wages, how many of you were offered a whopping pay raise and then turned it down because you were not worth it...Yeah! I didn't think so.
