'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Adam In Chains Has No Regrets

Sunderland winger Adam Johnson has had plenty to say about his medal winning time in Manchester with The Champions...

The 25 year old England international has been sold to Sunderland for a £10 million fee after a stop-start experience at City during which his potential failed to ignite much to the frustration of City boss Roberto Mancini who could not get the best out of the Sunderland born player. Disappointingly, Johnson bemoaned that Mancio hardly spoke to him. This is an aspect of the City's boss's managerial style that Sir Alex Ferguson likes. No mates, there's a job to do.

Johnson said:

'The other night I felt like the chains had been taken off me...When you play one game and you know you could be out the next it's tough. When you haven't played for five games and then you play for one and you're expected to perform, it's difficult...Looking back, I would probably do it again - I suppose any young lad would in my situation then. You can always look back and think. It was a slightly disappointing end, but I won the Premier League, FA Cup and the Community Shield and played in the Champions League, so it wasn't all bad...But it was a little bit disappointing I didn't play as much as I was capable of.'

Adam Johnson City Factfile:
February 2010 Signed from Middlesbrough, £7,000,000.
City League and Cup Appearances: 97 (43 as sub)
Goals: 15
August 2012 Signed for Sunderland £10,000,000.

CITY NEWS:

The club have not confirmed any new signings ahead of this evening's Champions League Group Stage draw despite widespread media reports and Welsh football chairmen statements.

i liked Johnson, he scored goals. I reckon he would have become a top player with more games. Hope Sinclair is a better player.
