City Get Real In Europe With Exciting Draw

We're not really here. The draw for the Group Stages of The Champions League has been made. Group D City face classic ties against Real Madrid, Ajax and Dortmund...City NEVER have it easy! The Champions of Spain, Netherlands and Germany!

Real Madrid
Manchester City
Borussia Dortmund

The rags meanwhile, have followed up last year's 'easy on paper' group in which they were humiliated with another kindly nod towards Braga, Galatasaray and Cluj, even though Galatasary is a horrible place to go.

Regardless of whether or not this is another European old guard protecting fix, the mouthwatering clashes with Real will be eagerly anticipated in Manchester as the bloke with the coat from Matalan returns to town alongside City favourite Ladyboy Riverdancer...The future rags manager will know for sure that there is nothing more dangerous in football these days than a Roberto Mancini Manchester City side that have been written off or cast as underdogs.

Mancio will be relieved that The Blues do not have too far to travel before crucial Premier League fixtures.

Planet Blue continues to live a dream which was unimagineable just over a decade ago if not unthinkable a handful of years ago.

Football Development Officer Patrick Vieira said:
"We can be confident of getting to the next stage. Last season was the first time the club has been in the Champions League so we need to learn, to improve."

The Transfer Window closes at 23h00 BST tonight after Brian Marwood puts the cat out. We'll bring you confirmation of signings and departures on VMC once the club confirm what the stories are.

City have drawn Aston Villa at home in the third round of The Capital One League Cup. The tie will be played week commencing 24 September.

Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott and James Milner have been called up to the England squad for the World Cup Qualifying matches against Moldova and Ukraine.

So the PL trophy will stay in Manchester it seems. I expect you to give your all to defend that trophy after you get kicked out in the group stage of the CL.

Why are you taking it angrily? In my opinion you won't get past this group - which is not a shame really, look at the farking powerhouse it is. I expect you to retain your PL trophy, ultimately. Where's the problem?

Don't think Dortmund, Ajax and Real will fancy their chances keeping Kun, Tevez, Yaya, Silva and Nasri quiet now, will they? Another year together, another year wiser and the experience of last season will stand to us. Write City off at your peril.

Chelsea football club - defending (accidental) champions league winners, current premier league champions, captained by a man who is about to serve a lengthy ban for racially abusing a fellow professional. Nice.
