There are unconfirmed reports this morning that City are lining up Colombian defender Jairo Patino on a free transfer to ease the worsening injury crisis at the club even though the transfer window has closed
The 28-year-old stopper, who can play either at right-back or right midfield was released by River Plate, is a free agent and therefore can be signed outside of the transfer windows.
If the rumour is true, it will have been prompted by the unfortunate injury to Hatem Trabelsi at the weekend, who will be out for a few weeks, although City do have cover in that position with Micah Richards, Nedum Onuoha and Jihai Sun.
After watching last night's Panorama, lets hope all City signings are legitimate. This isn't another Willie McKay deal by any chance is it?
Does anyone know anything about Patino - I've never heard of him ?
