City quiet on Ashton link

City are agin being linked with Norwich striker, Dean Ashton. The former Crewe striker was a target for Stuart Pearce in the summer, with Norwich rejecting an offer believed to be in the region of 6 million.

The Canaries are now making noises that suggest they may be willing to sell but City remain quiet despite newspaper speculation.
It is believed Norwich are looking for a fee in the region of 7 million, a figure that can be best described as outrageous. Ashton is hardly a proven Premiership striker and has only managed 6 goals in 21 Championship starts this season. If Norwich drop the fee by two thirds I can see City being interested .... but 7 million? Don't make me laugh.
