Rumour Silly Season Underway
Hot on the heels of rumours that City are about to sign Surinam born utility striker Andwele Slory from Dutch side Excelsior Rotterdam, there are reports today that City are on the verge of offering a fee in the region of £2m for Eygptian striker, Amr Zaki who currently plies his trade for that well known football outfit Zamalek Sporting Club in Giza (yes, where the pyramids are !)
Zaki, seems ideally qualified as a City target; high cost, high risk and a major failure at his previous club Lokomotiv Moscow, where he failed to feature in a single match during his spell there - nice one lads !
City failed to net fellow countryman Mido despite several attempts by KK, so perhaps we'll get an Egyptian player after all - he should love it at Eastlands on a freezing cold February afternoon.
Rumours are also just reaching us that City scouts have been despatched to Borneo, Ethiopia and the Galapagos Islands amidst reports of previously untapped supplies of Premiership quality players.
