'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Brains and Talent

Teenage defender Nedum Onuoha was happy to return to first team action.

He told the official site: 'I'm happy to play again, because I've not played in a while, and we all gelled together - it doesn't matter who is involved. The manager trains us in such a way that everyone's involved in their positions, there's never just a session for the starting four, it will be a session for eight defenders as such so it's always helpful to us.'

On facing Sheringham, he said: 'He's a very difficult player to play against, he's one of the most experienced players I have ever played against as well. He made it difficult not just for myself but for the rest of the back four because his movement was pulling us back and forth, so it made the game a lot harder.
Nedum, it appears, is learning well on and off the field as he is also studying part time for an accountancy degree: 'I started four weeks ago, and it's going well but there's still three and a half years to go so I'm just taking it step by step. With training and everything there's no problem, if it was a problem I probably would not have done it but it's going well and hopefully it will stay that way.'

Brains and talent. I don't think I like this guy!!
