Emile Mpenza joins The Blues

It is reported this morning that the powerful but injury prone Belgian International striker Emile Mpenza has signed for Manchester City. It's reported in Belgium as a 4 and a half month contract with an option for a three year contract.

28 yr old Mpenza up until recently was playing in Qatar following his time at Hamburg and his agent had recently been in talks with Wigan and Blackburn.

Any striker who can get the thing on target will do for me!!

Mpenza in his own words:

"I make this move as revenge with respect to all those who criticised my decision to play in Qatar," he told Bel-RTL.

"At 28 years old, I am not finished and I will prove it in Manchester.

"To play in England is to carry out a dream."
