Skoorb catches up with the Tykes

1. What brought you do you support Barnsley?

'I was born in Barnsley and my Dad took me to my first game when I was 6 and I have been hooked ever since'.

2. What is it for you that makes Barnsley a special club?

'I suppose I like what we have been able to achieve for such as small club with no money and few fans. I`ve seen us in the Premier league, play off finals, FA cup semi finals, and days out like the one at your place coming up and Anfield the other year'.

3. Who is your favourite Tyke of all time and why?

'Close call but it`s Neil Redfearn. He was awesome for Barnsley year after year and scored a lot of goals from midfield. I must mention Arjan De Zeuuw who I loved as well'.

4. David Flitcroft seemed to have an immediate impact on results after he took over the reins. What do you think of his management so far?

'I think he has done well so far. He saw what needed changing and wasn`t afraid to do it. The loss of key players have hindered us a bit lately but I think the board should give him the job permanently whether we stay up or not'.

5. If there was one player in the Barnsley squad that you would want to keep above all others who would it be and why?

'It would be Perkins. He is the heart beat of the team. He covers every blade of grass, gets stuck in and can play as well. My player of the season and Dawson was running him close until his injury'.

6. If you could pick one player from the Manchester City squad who would it be and why?

'I like Yaya Toure above all of the Man City players he is the type of player I like'.

7. The Time Machine. If there was one thing which you could change from Barnsley FC's past what would it be?

'That`s a tough one. I`m not really one for thinking like that but the worst few seasons of my time watching Barnsley was in the third tier so it would have to be the relegation to that'.

8. The either/or question. Glorious FA Cup run and relegation or FA Cup exit and survival in the Championship?

'I`ve loved the days out at Wembley we`ve had and those things are what is really special for Barnsley fans but League one football is so bad to watch I really don`t want to be back there so I`ve got to go for Championship survival'.

9. Final score on Saturday?

'I`ll go with my heart and say Man City 1 - 2 Barnsley'.
