'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's Blackburn !!!

With Blackburn seeing off Arsenal at Ewood Park last night, City were given the quarter final tie that most blues were hoping for.

I really don't care if Rovers have managed a league double over us this season, given a choice of which of the two teams I would prefer us to play it would be Blackburn every time. That and the excellent ticket pricing for the game, £15 adults and £5 juniors; well done Blackburn.

So how will City fare? Well it certainly won't be easy given our form this season but it is a tie that can be won. Last year most blues expected us to breeze past West Ham at home and reach the semi, this season expectations will be lower. However I do feel that Blackburn go into the game under greater pressure than City. For City v West Ham last year read Blackburn v City this year, the home team is expected to win. Because of those expectations and the other results this season I see the pressure as off and a chance to mug Blackburn in a way they so often mug other teams.

For those of you looking for omens.

Prior to this season City had played Sheffield Wednesday twice in the FA Cup. Both games ended in City victories and on both occassions the blues wemnt on to win the cup.

On the way to our last cup win in 1969 we met Blackburn Rovers, away from home, in the quarter final. The score? 4-1 to City. Our year? I'll let you decide.

I think you should concentrate on the league, things lookin a little dicey down there! Arsenal doubled us in the league so, we'll have to be wary.......... I feel we'll edge you thou.

nah .... 7 points and two games in hand keeps us ok at the moment. FA cup is only only route to the Uefa cup, the final of which in 2008 is on home soil. Concentrate on the Cup. It will be a good day though come what may.

yeah i reckon youse are safe... Still it's important to finish as high as possible as the money makes a big difference!

Anything can happen in the cup and form goes out the window. There's no Gyppo Savage to hold it together for Rovers right now and I've said before I'd have in my team any day ahead of the likes of Dumbo Dabo. Be typical City to win!! The game will be won and lost in the first half hour, I'd say. It invariably is with this City squad!

With City the game is usually won or lost in the last TEN MINUTES !!!

At least you wont have to watch that pykie Savage winding your players up.
