De Jong Linked With Bitter Rivals

De Jong Linked With Bitter Rivals

You, well I know I do, want to see the best players in the premier league and with that in mind most City fans would be happy to see Nigel de Jong back in this country.

Rumour has it that this is something that could be possible, but City fans wouldn't want to see him in a United shirt that's for sure!

The Mail says that new United boss, and his current Dutch boss at the world cup, Louis van Gaal is 'weighing up a move' for AC Milan man having been impressed by his performances in the Holland side with a £9m offer to 'tempt' Milan possibly there for the 29-year-old.

How would you feel about seeing de Jong back in England playing for United?

In other news from the past 24-hours or so Fernandinho was a starter for Brazil in their world cup 2nd round penalty shootout win over Chile, to book a place in the QF's, but had to come off with an apparent injury.

Vincent Kompany could miss Belgium's game with the USA due to injury too.

Other players with City connections, Gareth Barry and Scott Sinclair, have also been in the headlines with Barry's move to Everton to be officially confirmed early next week and Sinclair getting closer to finding a new club, it is said 'several top sides' want him with a return from whence he came most favoured with Swansea City tipped to take him back....

Oh dear. Does that mean all of the united fans who told me that DeJong was nothing but a nasty, vicious, leg-breaking thug who wouldn't even make it into the stretford reserves will now start cheering him on as the "BESTEST MIDFIELDER SINCE ROY KEANE"?

Certainly not all fcb becuase i for one would sooner see us not go near the nasty, nasty, vicious, leg-breaking thug with a bargepole.

One red card in his career TF7 and that was for two yellows. It's not as if U****d fans haven't hero worshipped nasty thugs over the years either.

Oh come now just because he's only had 1 red card it doesn't mean he's not a nasty piece of work with a mean streak. Not criticising you for worshipping a nasty thug either so that's a moot point born from nothing. The issue primarily lies in the fact we don't need a De Jong in midfield, or at least he's not a priority at the moment rather a creative outlet is. If Van Gaal feels we need a holding mid and isn't willing to give Fellaini a chance then it comes down to the fact he's Nigel De Jong, ex-City player and blue-half of Manchester fan-favourite, as to why I don't want him in particularly, certainly not when there's other options whom can fill the same role.

He's the sort of player fans only appreciate when he plays for their team Famous, and TBH, I'd suggest he'd do a good job in united's current midfield - although, without wishing to sound too ungrateful to Nigel after his sterling services to MCFC, there are much better DM's available

I don't believe him to be a nasty piece of work at all, he can be a bit reckless on occasion and is full blooded in a challenge but he's not a malicious player, something that I believe is a prerequisite for a thug. You could do a lot worse than Nigel, however it would disgust me to see him playing for U****d.

Nige would have too much respect for us to move to the dark side. He would fit in though in Van Gaal's 532 system.
