Melbourne Make City Camp

Melbourne City will begin a 17 day training camp stay at Carrington this week, playing three local matches in the process.

Our sister club in effect, will be at our headquarters between July 8 and July 24 before returning to Australia ahead of the FFA Cup's Round of 32 clash against Sydney FC.

Whilst they are over here, no doubt strengthening the relationship between both clubs at all levels, they will take in games against Bury, Oldham Athletic and Bolton Wanderers and Melbourne will no doubt be hoping to learn plenty of tips and tricks from our side especially in the areas of sports science, medical and performance analysis.

Head coach John van't Schip explained to the Official Site.

'This tour will form an important part of our pre season and it's a great opportunity to prepare for the A League season, utilising the exceptional facilities in Manchester. It is unique for teams in the A League to have this kind of opportunity, so we are looking forward to forming further bonds with Manchester City and the whole City Football organization.'
