Team News: City v Liverpool

The first 'massive' game of the season, granted we are just a week into it, take place on Monday evening.

City, who had the extra quality to get over the finishing line ahead of Liverpool last season, look to put down a marker earlier in this campaign as the sides meet at the Etihad.

Edin Dzeko was excellent against Newcastle United last week so he'll keep his place with the partnership with Stevan Jovetic set to be given another game with Sergio Aguero lacking the fitness to start.

Another player not fit enough to start yet is £32m signing Eliaquim Mangala.

Liverpool's Lazar Markovic (hamstring) could come in for his debut now that he has returned to fitness with Alberto Moreno another that could make a first start but Adam Lallana sits out again.

What a heavyweight encounter this is, you wouldn't bet on this being another entertaining game that has some goals in it, we don't lose too many at home though and Liverpool haven't gone away with the points since 2008....
