City Expected To Play Like A Wounded Animal Vs Arsenal

Losing to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup Fifth round tie on Monday evening was a bitter pill to swallow. Nevertheless, the game is history, water under the bridge, call it what you will. No more doom and gloom - this season is not over just yet.

At the DW Stadium and for the first time this season City lacked that cutting edge, a phrase I thought I would not be saying with any of Pep Guardiola's sides. The players know it, we, the fans know it. And you can bet your bottom dollar Pep knows it.

City Expected To Play Like A Wounded Animal Vs Arsenal

Normally, my crystal ball is a tad cloudy but today, the mist has cleared and radiates within - it's as 'clear as day' - Manchester City are going to take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday like a wounded animal. The lads WILL play with even greater determination and in the end, put things right. In other words Pep and MCFC will win the first silverware of the 2017/18 season.

There you go. I've said it!

Talking of Pep

Did you know?

The Carabao Cup final will be Pep Guardiola's 99th match in charge of Manchester City. The king of all coaches has only lost 13 of his 98 games so far.

Wembley sell out

Manchester City have sold out their entire allocation of 32,656 tickets while Arsenal has sold a similar amount. Wembley will be packed to the rafters.

Previous Wembley encounters

Arsenal and City have met on two previous occasions and both times the Gooners have done us over.

In 2014 and the Community Shield, goals from Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Oliver Giroud did enough - we lost 3-0.

Who remembers last season when Alexis Sanchez scored an extra-time winner in a FA Cup semi-final. No controversy there eh...BAH!!

Hey, Arsenal supporters, don't say I didn't warn you!
