Pearce on Barton outburst (AUDIO)

Man City manager Stuart Pearce opened up his preview of the upcoming match against Aston Villa at Eastlands by addressing what action the club would take against midfielder Joey Barton following his 'outburst' of sorts during the week where he criticised the ambition and performance of the club this season, which surprisingly left his boss in agreement over certain issues.

First Dunne, then Barton -they are either complete idiots, or sense some weakness in SPs position - I hope its the latter.

I think it's indicitive of the splits in the camp. No it shouldn't come outside of the club but things can't be good for it to do so. That Barton picked up on what a lot of the fans are saying suggests that the players are aware of the groundswell of opinion and sense weakness in the managers position.

Agreed. We've seen recently where player dissent and going public can end up with the Riccarton Three at Hearts - it's a serious game once initiated, I hope those two are prepared for it.
