Ranieri to take Charge?

Sky Sports News are tonight reporting that Cladio Ranieri will take charge as Manchester City manager if the Thaksin Shinawatra takeover goes through.

With Ray Ranson having today withdrawn his takeover bid, all signs are pointing to the imminent takeover of City by Shinawatra.

Although details are sketchy at this point it is becoming clear that either Shinawatra's or Ranieri's advisors have leaked news of the managerial appointment to the press.

It would seem highly unlikely that this would happen without the takeover being close to completion.

Having said that, it is Manchester City we are talking about so anything could yet happen.

One thing is for sure: MCFC are an infinitely more attractive proposition with money.

Ranson, however, has reserved the right to renew his interest in the future should another party, including Shinawatra make a formal offer

The Tinkerman returns, but will he be able to turn the club around? Even if he makes a balls of it you have to admit to liking the bloke after tha appaling way he was treated at CSKAhelsea

You would think he would realise that by constantly changing the side he was making it unsettled. Clearly it hasn't worked so stop tinkering. lol
