'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nedum Onuoha & Elano Speak

Nedum Onuoha's latest diary entry on Icons.com is available.

The Man City player says 'What a start it's been to the season. I can't remember the last time City won all their opening games, and without a doubt it's my best start since getting into the senior squad. Winning all three so far is fantastic, especially compared to last season. And, of course, beating Manchester United in the derby was the icing on the cake. We were very lucky if I'm going to be totally honest, they had so many chances where they failed to score, but sometimes you get a bit of fortune on your side and I think it's about time we got a bit of luck.'

He also singles out Kasper Schmeichel for praise and says the atmosphere for that game was 'electric'.

Meanwhile Elano has been interviewed on icons giving the lowdown on Sven, aiming for Europe and how it feels to be part of the foreign revolution at Eastlands.: Click Here

'The season has just started but we can't help feeling excited by our performances. I'd rather say our realistic goal is to work seriously and to focus on our game. Then a UEFA Cup or even a Champions League spot may follow. This is not the time to make promises. But at City we are all ready to work towards a wonderful season.' Adding: 'One thing is for sure: Mr Eriksson knows what I can do.'

He talks of the great reception he got by the fans and how surprised he was at the passion we have for the game in England.

On Sven he explained: 'The man has won trophies at every club he has managed. He`s a very nice guy with a lot of experience in football and I really appreciate his cool style when he talks to the team and tells us what to do. He likes to talk and give the players a chance to put their views too.'

Lehmann out - good or bad? /discuss
Craig Cain
Any change between the sticks behind a settled defence can cause unrest. I hope that's the case! It can also inspire, however. I think the absence of Gallas will be of greater concern to Mr. Whinger. We have to get on top in midfield and link Elano up behind Bianchi and shake up their centre halves. Our full backs could use some more protection too. In short, hard work required again. With every game this City team will become more familiar and sooner or later you sense the football could really start to flow.

Who the striker do you think ( or vote ) will replace Bojinov and play side with Bianchi ?!
city 81
City 81, at the moment we are only playing one striker up front with elano just behind him. Sven plan seems to hit the opposition on the counter attack, so far it is working well and the defence to sound, sooon it will be rock hard.
Buzz Lightyear
What a good game right now. You are playing football the way it was meant to play. Ur not just sitting back. Congrats for that, but I dont see you getting any points. We have dominated the last 20 mins and I see it continuing after the break. A goal is coming.

Buzz Lightyear, it look to me same Stuart pearce a plan, but with a different players ! & about today match I think schmeichel will be added to his price zero in the right

There is news about loan Baptista from real, ( If this deal been I think it would be gain, Especially there a Brazilian players able to feed the strikers and This what he not finds with Arsenal )
city 81
u want that fat penalty-missing *****? go ahead and knock urselves out!!!!

If Babtista could not make it at Arsenal and I have the greatest of respect for Wenger, if he says a player is not good enough for Arsenal, then he is not good enough for us. We played well against the Gooners yesterday, could have scored and we cut through the defence a few times, especially the one by Ireland for Mpenza, unfortunately just a yard too far, but we certainly gave them a game. I would like to see us play 442 and hope that he rests Johnson or Ireland. He needs cover for Richards. The break neck speed these games are being played at will take their toll. I am nowe more convinced that a top 10 is achievable, but we do need to sign a couple more.

Thank you Buzz Lightyear i'm with you 100% about the change of a plan to ( 4-4-2 ) or ( 5-3-2 ) , we are thirsty to see goals ( last season the team score only 29 goals ! ) & I changed my mind about Babtista, The player the teem need is shon wright phlips, I see no better than .
city 81
