Samaras deal nears completion

After agreeing a fee with his club, Heerenveen, City have now announced that they have agreed personal terms with Greek striker Giorgious Samaras. Samaras is now expected at Carrington tomorrow for a medical. If passed he is expected to sign for the club tomorrow and be available for a debut against Newcastle on Wednesday night.

It's a good thing to see new faces come in. However, I can't help but wonder why a player like Fowler has to leave. The 1st team squad is too small to make a serious challenge on a place in Europe, and injuries will stretch it even further. Together with the fact that the other forwards are young, and need to gain more experience, only a larger squad will be able to make further progress.
